God bless the artists not bought by VANOC

I received an invite to the following art show from a fan of the Official Vancouver 2010 Olympics Newswire blog... sounds intriguing, and potentially controversial. See you there if you can handle Cambie Street. The show is apparently up until April 30.
----------
[Civil Disturbance] - A Critical Response to Project Civil City
OPENING ON 18th April 2008 at 5:30pm to 7:00pm with student exhibitors and ECIAD sessional instructor, Barry Magrill at the Architectural Institute of British Columbia 100 - 440 Cambie Street, Vancouver.
Students of Emily Carr Institute studying Industrial and Communication Design, Photography and Fine Arts examine the city and its economic, political and social systems through a student-led group exhibition of critique and response to Project Civil City.
A semester of research and discussion culminates in work ranging from clothing design to brand and publication design. The show presents differing viewpoints to engage the public in discussion of what it really means to live in a Civil City.
